As a Computer Science student, I decided to conduct additional research on the various aspects of the field; my research was based on the following.

And one important thing I noticed is that, while a computer science degree is not required to begin a career, it would really help students build strong foundations and relevant exposure.

Computer Science is the systematic study of processes (such as algorithms, protocols, and information) used to represent, process, store, communicate, and access information.

The following four areas are considered critical to the discipline of computer science:

Computation theory, Data structures and algorithms, Languages and programming methodologies, Elements and architecture of computers

The following are computer science subfields.

Software development Visualization and computer graphics Intelligent automation Networking in Computers Databases and data mining, e.t.c.

These skills are essential for fully understanding how computer processes (such as data structures and algorithms) work, and they will help you become a better software engineer.

Nowadays, the most common branch of study for people in Nigeria is software engineering, because there are a plethora of resources available to help you get started.

As a result, many people have overlooked the importance of computer science; to compensate, people are now enrolling in online computer science programs, which are also a great way to learn.
